Obama's Civil Rights Policies
Combat Employment Discrimination: This ensures that all people are treated equaly in enployment. This ensures equaility regardless of ethnic background, gender, religion, or race. I belive that people should be treated equally regardless of background or who you are.
Expand Hate Crimes Statutes: This ensures that people in general are safe. This allows hate crimes to be taken more seriously in corts to protect the people. I think that this is a good thing to do because a lot of people get hurt because of hate crimes.
End Deceptive Voting Practices: This allows harsh punishments on people who have engaged in voting fraud. I don't really agree with this because I don't think that people should be punished harshley for something that is not really serious.
End Racial Profiling: This allows all people to be treated with equality regardless of race. I do agree with this because I don't like racism.
Reduce Crime Recidivism by Providing Ex-Offender Support: This allows job training for ex-offenders that have been to jail so that they can fit into society better. I partially agree with this one because I belive that some people should be given a second chance, but not all.
Eliminate Sentencing Disparities: This eliminates the disparity between sentencing powder based drugs.
Expand Use of Drug Courts: This gives people who use drugs a chance to serve their sentence in a drug rehabilitation program. I don't agree with this because it isn't fair to other people who get arrested.
