My name is Kevin Thompson

Today I have recently spoken to my grandmother and she told me about her mother. She is the oldest known ancestor I know of. Her relation to me is that she is my great grandmother. She was born October 15, 1935. She was born as a farmer who was kind and loving to everyone around her.

Annie Ruth Petty was raised on a farm. She was born in North Carolina. As a child Annie was hard working and compassionate. She attended high school at Osgood High school. Annie stayed in school until she was in the 10th grade. She had to leave school to help her family on the farm. Later on in her life she went to Nursing school and became a nurse. She had children (4 girls and 1 boy) to raise as an adult. She loved all of her children very much. When she finished nursing school she successfully became a nurse. After she became a nurse, many years later she retired at the age of 62. Now she is 73 years old (still alive) living at home with her family. All of her children have grown up to be very successful in life and she is very proud of all of her children.
