Defense of Pirates 0 comments
1.How are the views of this journalist different from most others in mainstream media in regards to the pirates? Detail your answer in one complete paragraph.
The views of this journalist is different from the views of the media because, the views of the journalist is taking a even perspective when discussing the matter regarding the pirates. While the views of the media is focus on a badder perspective making it seem like the only thing they do are crimes. The journalist takes an even perspective of the Somalian Pirates be discussing some of the good and bad aspects of the things they do. While the media mainly focuses on the negative and bad aspects of what they do, rather than focusing on the positive. The journalist explains why the Somalian Pirates are stealing money. While the media doesn't explain the fact that people are dumping waste into the water of the Somalian Coastline.
2.What are your own views on the Somalian Pirates? Detail your answer in one complete paragraph.
My own views about what the Somalian Pirates are doing, is that they are doing the right thing. I feel this way because the countries that are dumping the was into the water of the Somalian Coastline should be the ones that people blame. When Somalia didn't do anything, the other countries continued to dump waste into their waters fished died and a tsunami washed all of that waste into their country. It was estimated that 300 people died from the devastating attack of the tsunami ( not including people who might have died from starving because the fish that they eat died). So the coast guards of Somalia began stealing money from other countries, but they have done this in a way by which nobody is harmed when they are taken into captivity by the pirates. Another reason why I think that the Somalian Pirates are doing the right thing is the methods that they use don't harm people, it is done in a way by which nobody ever gets hurt, and when the are done with the hostages that they take, they don't kill the hostages, but they release them. My final reason on why I think that what the Somalian Pirates are doing is right is because, if the other countries had never dumped the waste into the waters on the Coastline of Somalia that killed the fish that the people ate, and since the fish were killed some people starved and a estimated 300 people died when the tsunami hit Somalia, the Somalian Pirates most likely wouldn't be going around stealing money from the other countries. If the government of the other countries had put out a little more moneyto get rid of the waste the "right way", they would not be losing a lothe of money that has been tookin by the Somalian Pirates and all of this could have been avoided.
Stress 0 comments
Stress plays a very important role in the development of someone as a child, to when they are a teen. There are many things that can cause stress. Too much stress can lead to things such as someone being emotionally unstable or some being depressed. There are different types of stress that people can get. One of those types of stress develops when someone is a child, and the other is when that child becomes a teenager.
When a someone develops stress as a child it may not be about things as important as when someone experiences stress as a teenager. I think that experiencing stress as a teenager is a lot harder than experiencing stress as a child is. I say this because stress as a teenager can be about things that children just don't understand.
If someone developed stress as a child it can be little things such as trying to be grown up but they know that they can't act like a grown up, or something as big as not having their father around to spend time with them. Sometimes little things can drastically effect the child and more important things could not really bother the child at all. Sometimes stress can be caused in a child by something that happens everyday and they might not realize it. It can be something that is cause while the child is at home or in school. Those are some facts about children and stress.
Finally we will teenagers and stress. When teenagers experience stress they can be many things that cause it. Sometimes it is because of peir pressure or fear of something. When a teenager is caused stress by peir pressure that usally means that they are struugling to make a decision about something or that they don,t know what to do. When a teenager is caused stress by fear they are usally scared of something that might hurt them, but they are to scared to tell anyone anything.
Those are some ways that stress plays a role in the developement of children and teenagers. Those a two examples how stress can effect children, and there are two examples on how stress can effect teenagers.
My Thoughts 0 comments
My thoughts on the article taking equality is that the African American students should do better as a whole. I think that the students who need help in a certain school subject should tell their teacher or get a tutor. I feel that it is a shame that a lot of students in school aren't trying the best and that affects the overall comunity. I also feel that it is the teachers responsibility to make sure that their students are doing their best in every subject.

To become a member people don't have to have 100% African American blood. The Caucus was founded in 1969 by a group of black members of the House of Representatives, including Shirley Chisholm of New York, Louis Stokes of Ohio and William L. Clay of Missouri. Originally a "Democratic Select Committee", which was formed in January 1969, it was named the Congressional Black Caucus in February 1971.
2.The Black Caucus holds 42 members. It was established in 1967. Only Congress members can become a member of the organization. Only African Americans can become a member of the Black Caucus.
3.The meeting President Obama had with the Black Caucus was to discuss the cuts in the organization. The meeting was Obama's first meeting in the White house.
4.The Caucus wanted to have Obama add minorities to jobs .
5.I think that Obama's relationship with the Black Caucus will be a good one. I think that they will be on good terms with each other and agree on most of the things that they discuss.

After marriage Ellen traveled to America in 1961. It was here that she continued her studies, and achieved a degree from the University of Colorado. From 1969 to 1971 she read economics at Harvard, gaining a masters degree in public administration.Ellen Sirleaf Johnson then returned to Liberia and began working in William Tolbert's (True Whig Party) government. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf served as Minister of Finance from 1972 to 73, but left after a disagreement over public spending. On 12 April 1980 Master Sergeant Samuel Kayon Doe, a member of the indigenous Krahn ethnic group, seized power in a military coup and President William Tolbert was executed along with several members of his cabinet by firing squad. In 1984 Samuel Doe declared himself president of the Republic. During the 1985 elections Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf campaigned against Doe, and was placed under house arrest. Later she was scentenced to ten years in prison and then was allowed to leave the country once again as an exile. During the 1980s she served as Vice President of both the African Regional Office of Citibank, in Nairobi, and of Equator Bank, in Washington. In Liberia civil unrest erupted once more. On 9 September 1990, Samuel Doe was killed by a splinter group from Charles Taylor's National Patriotic Front of Liberia. From 1992 to 1997 Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf worked as Assistant Administrator, and then Director, of the UN Development Program Regional Bureau for Africa. In Liberia an interim government was put in power, lead by a succession of four un-elected officials. By 1996 the presence of West African peacekeepers created a lull in the civil war, and elections were held. Ellen Johnson returned to Liberia in 1997 to contest the election. She had come second to Charles Taylor and lost. By 1999 civil war had returned to Liberia, and Taylor was accused of interfering with his neighbours, fomenting unrest and rebellion. On 11 August 2003, after much persuasion, Charles Taylor handed power over to his deputy Moses Blah. The new interim government and rebel groups signed an historic peace accord and set about installing a new head of state. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf was proposed as a possible candidate, but the diverse groups selected Charles Gyude Bryant, a political neutral.Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf played an active role in the transitional government as the country prepared for the 2005 elections, and eventually stood for president against her rival the ex-international footballer, George Manneh Weah. On 23 November 2005, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf was declared the winner of the Liberian election and confirmed as the country's next president. Her inauguration, attended by the likes of US First Lady Laura Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, took place on Monday 16 January, 2006.

The other areas of the Package that President Obama emphasized in both speeches we to reduce energy. saving the government energy, providing around 3.3 million jobs for people out of work, and putting people to work.
5. Do you feel that this package will help African Americans and if so how? Do you feel that racism and/or gender bias will make a difference in the output or results of the package? Explain.
I do think that this package will help African Americans because some of the money will help provide 3.3 million jobs for people, and a lot of African Americans don't have jobs. Yes I do believe that racism and gender bias will make a difference in the output of the package. I think this because a lot of people think that they are better than other because of there race and gender.

Hello, My name is Tonya Hinton and I am the mother of Kevin Thompson. I've had a chance to sit down and read a bit of his blogs. Firstly i would like to comment on what a wonderful job he did locating pictures that were relevant to each subject. Kevin kept each blog brief and to the point, but managed to give key details pertaining to each blogs subject. While also giving a bit of his own opinion. I noticed a few misspelled and incorrect words and suggested to be sure that he used the spell checker and to proof read before posting each blog. Overall i think that he has done a fabulous job!
